What are Podcasts?
Podcasts are online broadcasts made by thousands of people
worldwide. There are podcasts on every topic including, knitting, sci-fi,
politics and technology. Whatever your interest, there is likely a podcast out
there for you. CastRoller makes it easy to find and listen to all podcasts.
Tagging
When you subscribe to a podcast, you can optionally use one
or more tags to describe the podcast. Tags are single words that you use to
describe a podcast. These can be used in different ways. The most obvious use is
to categorize your podcasts. You can tag all of your music podcasts with "music",
all of your video gaming podcasts with "gaming", you news podcasts with "news" and so on. There is a customized feed
that is generated for each of your tags.
You can also use tags to define how you listen to podcasts.
If you have a number of podcasts that you wish to listen to while at work, tag
them with "work". Then add feed for your work tag to your podcast client on
your work computer. Do you have podcasts that you would like to watch on your PlayStation
Portable? Instead of going though and adding each podcast to your PSP, tag them
with "PSP" and add the feed for that tag to your console.
