This is a talk I did in Washington DC at the AR2008 Conference. I try my best to paint the big picture and at the same time offer concrete solutions as well as why we need to attack the problem from a new angle. Children deserve the truth and are the key to change. Would you rather try to convince an adult to become vegan after their minds are molded? I prefer prevention and early intervention by engaging children about the real world while they still care enough to change. They are not brainwashed...

Warwak says there was nothing inappropriate about distributing information on veganism. He thinks it is inappropriate for the school to serve children recalled beef. Warwak says that with all the school shootings that happened and the climate of schools today, something has to change. He believes Humane Education is what's needed - that is what is missing in schools today. Meat-eaters would like to keep veganism a secret from the public, especially the children.

384 lbs of meat from Westland was made into taco meat and fed to the children at Fox River Grove Middle School in April and May of 2007.
