Chatroom log from this week's show.
Our guest tonight is Chantelle Diachina and at http://www.neverwateraweed.blogspot.ca/ She works at rtraction as a client relationship manager as well as being a student and instructer of yoga. As well she enjoys public speaking, appearing at Ignite London twice already. In addition she has a B.Ed., M.E.d and over 10 years of classroom teaching experience. Chantelle draws from those experiences to continually strive to live the best life possible, while helping others to do the same.
We started off with Sean talking about why he a good husband by going down to Detroit Airport to pick up his wife, and then the wonderful long chat he had with the TSA about fishing at the border.
We then talked to Chantelle about her many experiences in her life including schooling in both US and Canada and how she tries to live life as well as possible. We talked about how racism can exist and how people can feel like they are not part of the community. We also attempted to define on what it means to be a Londoner.
We then moved on to the Ontario Ombudsman’s office releasing the report on the in-camera meeting of city council re: the occupy movement. We then touched upon the city have quite a bit of bad news lately, but we must look at some of the more positive things.
Then we moved on to the riot on Fleming Drive. We talked about what could be done with both the people that broke the law and what could be done to prevent this in future. One interesting idea would be the idea of restorative justice. Stuart was the one to rant this time with Sean playing devil’s advocate. A good conversation happened on this topic with several ideas put forward.
We finished up with asking Chantelle for a prescription for the community, she gave a very simple answer. “Slow Down”.
Sounds like a great idea.
