Episode #138: It’s a jam packed episode! First, I play feedback about keeping practice in our speech followed by a warning against Internet con artists and their unproven stuttering cures. Then I switch gears and talk about bias in scientific research and using design thinking to manage stuttering. This episode will expand your brain in only 52 minutes!

I hope I had whetted your appetite for facing your fears and really overcoming stuttering- with proven techniques. It is a great feeling to accomplish these. Have a look at Stuttering: A List 5 Effective Techniques which inspired me to talk about this. It was written by previous Stuttering is Cool guest, Evan Sherman, who is also a fellow Stutter Social host.

Head on over to redesignedstutterer.com if you’d like to read Ray Mancini’s masters thesis on applying design thinking to stuttering. Ray is co-owner of goodworldmedia.com, an interactive design agency in New York City.

Check out the graphic he created for his thesis on page 5. I love it!
