The British have come. They bring mirth, merriment, and obscenity in equal measure. That measure being cubits, or furlongs, or some such thing, because that's just how they do things in the UK. Or, as its better known, "Unbelievable Klingons."
Just who are these invaders? Danny O'Dwyer is back, of course, this time joined by Martin Gaston and Mark Walton, who have joined forces against Tom Mc Shea and host Kevin VanOrd to see just how far they can take things before the entire show gets banned from...

Host Kevin VanOrd welcomes Giant Bomb's own Matt Rorie, who tells us what he thinks about the Xbox One's used game policy between exhausted yawns. They're joined by Danny O'Dwyer, Tom Mc Shea, and Carolyn Petit, who analyze the joys of abysmal voice acting, interpret the Elder Scrolls, and discuss the true meaning of onomtapea. Er, aunomottopeea. Oops, it's ottomanohpeia.
Oh, forget it.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified scribe Erik Caponi stops by to analyze the Xbox One reveal and prove his undying love for the A-Team, clad only in his underwear. He also manages to insult Kevin's grandmother in the process. Sadly, Danny O'Dwyer, Tom Mc Shea, and Tyler Winegarner are hardly quick to jump to Kevin's rescue, given how busy they are discussing the ins and outs of game writing, going off on Call of Duty, and demonstrating their world-class talking skills.

Danny O'Dwyer is in the house, with his lugubrious accent and his Sega-loving ways. You wanted a Half-Life 2 appreciation segment? We've got that. We've also got appreciation for other things: buttered popcorn, Metro: Last Light, and putting your disgusting fingers into every pie. Kevin VanOrd hosts Tom Mc Shea, Carolyn Petit, and Peter Brown, all of who profess to be thrilled to be there.
But Kevin knows the score. Oh, he knows all right.

The GameSpot team dons their creepy hoods and paints the town blue, along with developer Mike Bithell, who created the wonderful platformer Thomas Was Alone. This week's topics: the spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness, the future of Star Wars games, and the comfort of the Lifestream. All this, as Kevin VanOrd, Tom Mc Shea, Andy Bauman, and Peter Brown describe Kratos' favorite threeway and try to differentiate one game's blood splatter from another.

Turnabout is fair play. Case in point: usual host Kevin VanOrd gets forced into a panelist position so that Tom Mc Shea can see how well he handles the grueling quizzes. Spoiler! He doesn't do so hot, proving that he knows more about Tchaikovsky than he knows about DMA Designs.
More to the point, Kevin, Tom, Carolyn Petit, Chris Watters, and Tyler Winegarner flesh out the Grand Theft Auto V trailers to determine which gets them most excited for the upcoming sequel. We also consider Nintendo's E3...

Our guest couldn't make it, but that's ok: we've got more than enough to talk about anyway in this jam-packed episode, in which Andy Bauman contemplate an alternate world in which fishing enthusiasts might purchase a game called Sturgeon Simulator; Carolyn Petit talks about Burnout's beautifully glazed deliciousness; and Tom threatens to erect the Walls of Dumbwell.
Host Kevin VanOrd doesn't actually need to do much hosting, when he's got a group this rambunctious.

The old and the new collide as former GameSpot Editor in Chief Greg Kasavin stops by to debate the merits of accessibility, the joys of both commanding and conquering, and whether Deus Ex: Invisible War gets a bum rap. We also consider calling the podcast the Dark Souls Appreciation Hour, since we can't resist the temptations of Dark Souls II.
Host Kevin VanOrd flashes a heavenly smile on the other members of this killer crowd, which includes the noir-inspired Carolyn Petit, the turn-based Tyler...

In this dusty, rambling edition of the GameSpot GamePlay podcast, host Kevin VanOrd proves just how random and bizarre his mind really is. Why must it be so difficult to put a sentence together?! Fortunately, the not-so-random Carolyn Petit, Tom Mc Shea, and Tyler Winegarner are there to pick up the slack and talk about EA's newest designation as the worst company in America.
Do you know who doesn't ramble? The ultra-intelligent Harvey Smith, whose credits include Deus Ex, System Shock, and Dishonored--and...

How wonderful that BioShock Infinite has given us so much to talk about! Eager to sound off about Irrational's latest work, the GameSpot crew invites guest Mitch Dyer from IGN and dissects the sights and sounds of Columbia, seeking truth in every nook and cranny. This week's regulars include Carolyn Petit, Chris Watters, Tyler Winegarner, and of course, host Kevin VanOrd.
Caution: If you listen to this special episode, BioShock Infinite will be spoiled for you. Listen at your own risk!
